Export Improvement

The Customer Export now offers a “Qualified for SUN Bucks” field for participating students. The field follows the same rules as State Subsidy, meaning it is available as an option for any export run for a specific date, not a date range. In a related change, we have renamed several fields to specify when eligibility is NSLP eligibility. This should help avoid confusion between programs. US-3474

The Customer Export will now allow users to override carryover NSLP eligibility in preference of current-year SUN Bucks qualification. In the past, the MealTime program has always preferred NSLP eligibility where available. The new “Allow Current Year SUN Bucks Determination to Override Carryover NSLP/SBP Eligibility” checkbox will do just that when selected. US-3491

The new “as received” application receipt was originally narrowly focused on SUN Bucks, and therefore included an initial determination if conditions were met. With the release of the “as determined” receipt, we felt that this determination was confusing and unnecessary and have removed it. US-3492

The Agency Cert “Benefits” tab has been updated to prevent unwanted behavior. Currently, a user can add students, such as extended students, to an agency cert and then edit and save Student Benefits. If the student has eligibilty from a different AC, that AC's effective date is saved for the Other Benefits. When the new AC is processed, the Other Benefits are not updated. To prevent this, the Benefits tab will now only list students that have their determination from the active Agency Cert. US-3494

We’ve had many MealTime Apply Online 2.0 users asking us if they can use the Consent to Share and Student Benefits information coming in from online applications that have to be rejected due to presence on existing agency certs (which take priority). So we’ve provided a way to do just that!

When reviewing an online application, you may see a note in the Existing Eligibility column that the Consent/Benefits “DO NOT Match This App.” We are now checking each student to see if benefits in an existing eligibility source for that student is different from what is on the application in review.

When rejecting the incoming application, we check to see if any students are getting eligibility from somewhere else and whether benefits in those existing eligibility sources are different from what is on the rejected app in review. In those cases, we offer a new message that displays the difference and allows you to modify the benefits in the existing eligibility source based on the rejected application. US-3489

We’ve improved the error message you’ll see when editing a letter and adding a subject line with text longer than 200 characters (our limit). The new message should be more helpful and explain what you need to do to resolve the issue, namely craft a shorter subject line. BG-19092, BG-19093
