This release was a small quality of life release focused on MealTime Apply Online 2.0 and Eligibility Management.
MealTime R54 (August 28, 2025) Release Notes
Program | Result | Description |
Eligibility Management | New Feature | You asked for it. MealTime’s Eligibility Management module will now generate a receipt for all determined applications in the Attached Documentation portion at the bottom of the Application, Review, and Determination tabs of each application. An "as determined” receipt is something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time, and we’re excited to have you use it. A new receipt will be generated every time an application is successfully determined. US-3480 |
Eligibility Management | Feature Improvement | Speaking of receipts, the “as received” version has been given a file name upgrade to help differentiate it from the “as determined” receipt which uses the same general format. Instead of “1234.pdf” as the filename, you’ll now see “MTAO1234_App5678_As_Received_08-28-2025_10-31-35PM.pdf.” That way you’ll know what it is and when exactly you received it, even if you save the file elsewhere. Eligibility Management | Interface Improvement | Both the Application List and Agency Cert List pages have been upgraded with a filter allowing users to sort the list by school. “But what about applications with students in multiple schools?” We’ve got you covered. The filter will show you applications with at least one student at the school you’ve selected so nobody gets missed. We hope this new improvement will help all the charter management organizations and larger districts that need to break data review/entry work up by school. US-3476 |
Eligibility Management | Interface Improvement | Even though SUN Bucks aren’t considered an NSLP/SBP determination type, it sounds like you’d still like to be able to search up applications that have been approved for SUN Bucks specifically, even if they don’t have NSLP/SBP determination. The Search Page now includes SUN Bucks applications in its “Active Determination” filter. US-3481 |
Eligibility Management & MTAO 2.0 | Interface Improvement | MealTime Apply Online 2.0 is already great for districts that want to exert an incredible amount of control over the information delivered to parents filling out their online applications. We’ve taken this a step further and have made several of the remaining hard-coded blocks of text editable. The entire “Welcome” message on page one of the application is now yours to change. We’ve also made the USDA Nondiscrimination Statement and Use of Information Statement sections editable after hearing from users that their states have specific required language. And because you can edit on the fly, all you need to do is modify the default text as you see fit, publishing your changes to the live, public site as you go. Your changes are immediately available. MTAO 2.0 | Interface Improvement | We received feedback that the acknowledgement text on certain pages of the online application form, as well as the signature page, is missing a common phrase: “For Summer EBT only: I certify that I am not already receiving Summer EBT Benefits in another state.” We have added this information, and all new applications will automatically feature it. You don’t need to edit anything. US-3479 |
Eligibility Management | Bug Fix | An enterprising individual caught a typo in the Application tab of the Application Entry interface. “Securuty” has been dismissed, and “Security” has taken its place in the program. Great catch! BG-19069 |
MTAO 2.0 | Bug Fix | The “Zip” text in the zip code field was being translated as “Cremallera” for Spanish speakers by the Google Translate service. We helped it make better choices by specifying “Zip Code” instead. BG-19060 |
System-wide | Bug Fix | We addressed a bug in our Customer Import feature that would give an exception error if two or more customers with the same PIN were re-activated. We’ve replaced the very confusing error text with something that makes more sense. Both records will be rejected with an error “PIN in Use.” BG-19059 |
