A Till exists in four states as it moves through the process of being used: Open and accepting transactions -> Waiting to be counted -> Counted and closed -> Finalized. Once a Till is Finalized, no edits can be made. 


Till State Descriptions

Open

A Till in an Open state is accepting transactions. This is the starting state of a newly opened Till. 

Waiting

A Till in a Waiting state is no longer accepting transactions and is waiting to be counted.

Counted

A Till in a Counted state has been counted or closed.

Finalized

A Till that in a Finalized state has been counted, closed and can no longer be edited. New notes can be added. 


Note! MealTime does Not recommend using the Finalized Till state except for in specific circumstances. Once Finalized, the till cannot be edited nor can the Finalized state be undone.
