Menu View is designed to serve customers that can be identified with a barcode scanner, name, PIN number or finger scanner.


Speed Mode is used when serving all customers the same meal offering(s), removing the time required to select meal items for each customer in the queue and increasing the speed of service.


Serve in Menu View with Speed Mode On

1. Under Current View, click Menu:


2. Click Speed Mode On:


3. Select the Template you want to use for service:


4. Select the Meal and/or A La Carte offering(s) to be served:


5. Identify the Customer to serve by scanning their barcode, entering their Name or PIN Number with a 10-key pad or keyboard, scanning their finger using the finger scanner or clicking Search to locate them by Name or PIN number.


The Identified Customer and the pre-selected Meal and/or A La Carte offering(s) are displayed on the left:


Note! If 'Allow Speed Mode without Cashier intervention' is enabled in District Meal Service Settings or in POS Station Settings no further action is needed to complete the transaction unless one of the following occurs:
  • Serving a Second Meal to the customer.
  • Meal offering contains a diet restriction or allergen for the customer.
  • The customer's account will be overdrawn.
  • An alert message is set on the customer's account.
  • The customer has a purchase restriction on the offering being served.

5b. In the dialog box that appears, select Serve or Don't Serve 
to move forward with or cancel the transaction.


6. When 'Allow Speed Mode without Cashier intervention' is Not enabled, click one of the following Payment Methods to complete the transaction:
