The Reimbursement Rates page allows you to enter the different reimbursement rates for each combination of eligibility group and meal category. Reimbursement rates are used in the State Reimbursement Claim report to calculate the monthly meal reimbursement amounts.

Manage Reimbursement Rates

1. Select the reimbursement rate you want to edit from the list window and click Edit or click Add to create a new reimbursement rate.


2. Select a Reimbursement Type from the dropdown menu.
Options are: Regular or Sever Need.


3. Select an Eligibility Type from the dropdown menu.
Options are: Free, Paid or Reduced.


4. Select a Meal Category from the dropdown menu.
Options are: Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Special Milk, Dinner, or Other.


5. Enter the State Reimbursement Rate Amount in the provided field.
If your state provides reimbursements, obtain those rates from your state representative, and enter them here.


6. Enter the Federal Reimbursement Rate Amount in the provided field.
Federal amounts are established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Special Milk Program (SMP), and Meal Supplements (Snacks) under the NSLP. The USDA updates these rates yearly and these must be entered into MealTime.


7. Click Save to save or Cancel to cancel the process.
